Why You Should Utilize Business Pricing on Amazon

Maria, October 29, 2024June 2, 2025

Amazon’s Business Pricing is a powerful tool for sellers who want to tap into the lucrative B2B market on Amazon. By setting specific pricing for business customers, you can increase sales volume, attract bulk buyers, and build long-term relationships with companies looking for reliable suppliers. Here are the main reasons why utilizing business pricing on Amazon can give your brand a competitive edge.

1. Attract Business Buyers with Competitive Pricing
Amazon Business Pricing lets you set a dedicated price for business customers, separate from regular retail prices. Businesses often buy in larger quantities and look for discounts or pricing flexibility to maximize their budgets. By offering exclusive pricing, you can stand out among competitors and draw in more business buyers. The pricing can look like this–Buy 2, get 10% or Buy 3, get 15%.

2. Increase Order Volumes
When businesses see discounted rates for bulk purchases, they’re more likely to place larger orders. Amazon’s Business Pricing tool allows you to set tiered discounts, which means that the more a customer buys, the lower the price per unit. This strategy encourages high-volume purchases, leading to higher order values and, potentially, more stable cash flow.

3. Build Customer Loyalty
Businesses prefer suppliers who offer transparency, value, and consistency. With Amazon Business Pricing, you can establish yourself as a trusted vendor, fostering loyalty and encouraging repeat purchases. Business customers who find great value in your offerings may return for regular orders, which can provide a reliable revenue stream.

4. Enhance Your Brand’s Visibility in the B2B Market
By utilizing business pricing, your products become part of Amazon’s B2B marketplace, where businesses specifically search for bulk deals and suppliers. This added visibility can expand your customer base and boost brand recognition among professional buyers.

How to Setup Business Pricing?

Go to Manage Inventory and click on ‘View reference and business prices’ on one of the listings. Then enter the business price and threshold that you want.

Once you’ve set up B2B pricing, you can check performance in Menu > B2B > B2B Central. Here’s a snapshot of the B2B dashboard:

In summary, Amazon’s Business Pricing feature is an invaluable tool for sellers looking to grow in the B2B space and leverage Amazon’s extensive network of business buyers.
