Never Ignore an Email from Amazon Seller Team Maria, November 6, 2024June 2, 2025 This afternoon I received an email from Amazon with the subject line: Action required to avoid account deactivation. I went into panic mode because I had no idea what could have caused this. So I immediately checked Account Health and Performance Notifications. But upon checking, there was no alert whatsoever and no new message in Performance Notifications page. Next thing I did was hit the ‘Call Me Now’ button on the Account Health page and talked to an Account Health Specialist. She also cannot find anything wrong with the account and suggested that I contact Seller Support instead, which I did. It was not surprising at all when Seller Support told me to contact Account Health team, ain’t that frustrating? I hate it when I’m being treated like a ping pong ball from different Amazon departments just to get an issue resolved. Finally, I was able to chat with someone rational from Seller Support and she told me that, indeed, I have to resubmit necessary documents for verification. Maybe something triggered Amazon’s system that would require re-verification of Seller accounts. Another thing the Seller Support mentioned was that receiving performance notifications could be delayed for 24 hours. Nevertheless, we are left with no choice but to comply. In summary, always be on the lookout for an email from Amazon because if not, your account could be deactivated at any given time and it will be really challenging to have it reinstated. It’s always better to be proactive than reactive. Got questions or suggestions? Drop a comment orĀ send me an email. Learnings
