3 Things You Should Check Everyday on your Amazon Seller Account Maria, October 17, 2024June 2, 2025 Once you’ve clocked in and ready to work, make sure to check these 3 things first as these are crucial in making sure your account is in good standing. Account Health This page contains the following account performance metrics–customer service performance, policy compliance, delivery performance, and payment policy. If your account falls below any of the target %, your account will automatically be at risk of suspension or deactivation. For instance, if you have a late dispatch rate that is greater than 4% or order defect rate that is above 1%, Amazon’s system will be automatically triggered and you will soon receive a notification about account deactivation. Once you receive a notification, changes or improvements will have to be made, sooner than later, to avoid deactivation. Performance Notifications These are important alerts that might affect your account health and ability to sell. All primary account users receive an email for all performance notifications sent by Amazon. If you’re an Amazon manager but not the primary account user, you should make it a habit to check performance notifications so as not to miss anything important. Almost always, the primary account user is not an active user so he/she may receive the notification but ignores it completely. Ignoring performance notifications can get your account deactivated because some alerts are urgent and need to be addressed within a set time frame. If you miss the deadline set by Amazon, your account can be deactivated automatically and having it reactivated would mean dealing with Seller Support for a long time and losing sales daily until the account is reactivated. Pricing Health > Pricing Opportunities To make sure that all your products have featured offer (buy box) available, always check Pricing Health page. For products with no featured offer available, the pricing health page will show you the reason why–i.e. external competitve pricing–and the price that you need to set to regain the buy box. If the reason is external competitive pricing, check the other marketplaces where you’re actively selling. If the price Amazon suggested cannot be found anywhere, don’t bother opening a case with Seller Support. I will save you the time and share what Seller Support has responded when I asked about the non-existent price matching— Due to legal restrictions, we will not be able to share the source of the competitive prices. To proceed further from here you can update the offer (Price+Shipping) less than (or) equal to ‘competitive price’ suggested above to get your offer eligible for Buy Box. Lastly, and this goes without saying–always check customer messages. Remember that you have a 24-hour window to reply to all customer messages. If no response is needed, simply click the ‘no response needed’ button. Got questions? Drop a comment or send me an email. Did You Know
