A Win for Seller Support Maria, November 13, 2024June 2, 2025 I think I’ve mentioned in several articles how dealing with Seller Support can be frustrating and overwhelming. But once in a blue moon, one particular person from Seller Support will step up and actually do a good job in helping sellers resolve an issue or 2. And I had the privilege of chatting with such a person today. Here’s what happened– I’m trying to resolve an issue relating to locked product details and main image, error 8541 if I’m not mistaken. Here’s what the error means– The SKU data provided is different from what’s already in the Amazon catalog. The standard_product_id data provided matches ASIN XXXXXXX, but the following data is different from what’s already in the Amazon catalog. With this error, you cannot change product details and main image on your own, you have to open a case with Seller Support to resolve this. I was able to unlock the product details and main image with the assistance of a Live Chat Specialist named Monika. We were chatting until the issue was properly addressed and she even left the case open for 24 hours in case the changes didn’t take effect. In less than 24 hours, the issues were resolved and I was impressed. You see, since I started managing Amazon accounts 8 years ago, I can count with my fingers the number of times Seller Support has been this helpful. And to be able to encounter such efficient and reliable Seller Support was surprising and I consider myself fortunate. Here’s to hoping I encounter more Seller Support like Monika.
